You want to use the PL-8 with 7200's to cover:
Unsightly mark or blemishes around a mounted 7200 -
Ferrule holes from a string thru designed body -
Tune-o-matic studs that have been relocated. -
A crooked routing job and just making the job look "Professional" -
All of the above.
Please, don't always assume you need a plate. A plate will always raise the entire bridge 1/16", and may cause you a chain of re-adjustments to get back your desired string height. Remember, a kahler flat mount was designed to work on any flat top guitar, however a Kahler is not large in size and sometimes can't cover up everything, so sometimes a coverage/adapter plate is an easy fix. I always suggest you wait on the plate until you know if you need it. There are no refunds on plates.
Width of the plate is: 3-15/16" or 100.0mm
Length of the plate is 3-1/8" or 80.0 mm
Thickness of plate is 1/16" or 1.5 mm and made from pure 360HH brass and plated with black, chrome or gold plating.
$39.00 each.
