Tune-o-Matic style bridges can be in two types...

Type #1 looks like the picture to the left. The common 2 piece system found on Les Paul guitars and many others.

Type #2 is just the stoptail part but the strings wrap around it and there are usually saddles that may or may not adjust on top. This "uni-matic" system is a bridge and stoptail piece in one.
