The color "Black Nickel" is akin to what you might call "smoked chrome", and is compatible with both black or chrome hardware. So whichever you have, this color will look fantastic with it! You can see it in the picture to the left. Nickel itself is extremely hard and durable in nature. It gives off a very bright silver color that looks like bright chrome, but in this case it is "darkened" a little bit to look smokey. Hence the name "Black Nickel"
THIS IS NOT BLACK. If you want that real "midnight black" color... that color confusingly enough is called "black chrome", and carries the designation "K" for black chrome (as in 7300K), "C" is for normal chrome and "Z" is for Black Nickel (smoke chrome) and of course "G" is for Gold.
In direct bright light (below left), the fine tuner knobs which are plated in "Z", looks just like regular chrome , but when the light is reflected off them at a different angle they look almost black (below right). When your onstage and the light hits you from different angles as you move around, the tremolo will seem to shimmer back and forth. It's really cool. Available models include the 7200, 7300 and 7330 models only. While supplies last!
